Clark County is home to several emerging urban centers: Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground and Ridgefield. Vancouver is the largest city in the largest county in Southwest Washington. Each of these cities offers abundant restaurants, coffee houses, art galleries, music, theater and more. Vancouver is a historically significant city, with deep roots in the pioneering west. The Vancouver National Historic Reserve Trust is a jewel at the heart of the developing downtown. A new Interstate bridge will connect Vancouver with its sister city, Portland, and light rail and bus rapid transit will bring in a new era of transportation. The waterfront is at the beginning of a renaissance, a signature downtown library will soon grace the city’s entrance.
